Aston Martin Recall Check by VIN: DBX, DB12, Vantage and Vanquish

To check an Aston Martin for recalls, enter the VIN on NHTSA's lookup and on Aston Martin's own Safety Campaign Checker, then ask an Aston Martin dealer to confirm the work was actually done. If you are shopping a DBX, look first for 26V200000, a 2026 rear suspension recall covering 3,937 US vehicles, plus the 2024 fuse box campaign that covers 2021-2024 cars.

We pulled every Aston Martin campaign we could find in NHTSA's recall data on October 15, 2026, and the pattern was clear. Older DB9 and Vantage campaigns are mostly long finished, while the DBX, DB12, Vantage and Vanquish built since 2021 have a busy few years of recalls. A couple are still waiting on parts. If the car you want was built recently, the check matters more than its low mileage suggests.

How to run the check

The VIN is at the bottom of the windscreen, as Aston Martin's Safety Campaign Checker points out, and it should match the door jamb and the title. Our Aston Martin VIN decoder helps confirm the model and year before you trust a listing. Run the VIN through NHTSA too, and read our guide to NHTSA recall check by VIN if the result says "remedy not yet available." You can also browse by model and year in the NHTSA recalls API; that link pulls the 2021 DBX.

One thing we noticed: NHTSA does not always file the DBX707 under its own name. The 2024 DBX707 oil hose recall shows up under "DBX," while a later oil cooler campaign shows up under "DBX707." A model search can miss a recall because of how it was filed. A VIN search does not, so use the VIN.

DBX recalls to look for

The DBX has the longest list, so start here. The biggest is 26V200000, filed in March 2026. According to the NHTSA acknowledgment for 26V-200 and NHTSA's summary, the pin for the torque reaction link can slide out of the rear lower suspension arm, and the arm casting can crack or shear. That can cost you control and damage the brake line. It covers 2021-2024 DBX, 2023-2026 DBX707 and 2026 DBX S, and dealers inspect the arms, replace them as needed, and fit new bolts. Owner letters went out May 28, 2026, so plenty of cars on lots right now have not been in yet.

Next is 24V255000, which covers 2,902 vehicles from 2021 to 2024. Electrical cables in the battery fuse box can work loose, and NHTSA says that can stall the engine or kill the headlights or power steering (NHTSA acknowledgment for 24V-255). 24V249000 covers 720 DBX707s from 2023-2024, where an oil cooler hose can burst and drop oil pressure suddenly. There are smaller ones too. 24V248000 covers 10 early DBX with loose front propeller shaft fasteners, 20V784000 covers 151 2021 cars built without headliner foam blocks, and 26V187000 covers 1,091 2025-2026 DBX and DBX S whose tire pressure light may not come on.

DB12, Vantage, Vanquish and Valkyrie

The newer sports cars share some campaigns with the DBX707. 24V712000 covers 1,095 2024-2025 DBX707 and DB12 cars and 2025 Vantages, where the engine oil cooler hose can split. 25V001000 covers 1,452 cars across those same models, where the infotainment home screen can cover the backup camera image, and the fix is a software update from a dealer or over the air.

The 2025 Vanquish has 25V532000. The Part 573 report says a fault code can stop the vacuum pump from building vacuum, which leaves you with a very hard brake pedal and longer stopping distances. It lists 178 US cars, and says all 2025 model year Vanquish need the ESP software update. The Valkyrie has two tiny campaigns: 25V300000 for fuse box screws of the wrong length on 11 cars, and 26V359000 for 7 track-suspension cars whose brake master cylinder seal can deform and overheat the brakes. NHTSA's notes on that one say the remedy was expected in November 2026, so as of mid October 2026 a Valkyrie may show an open recall with no fix yet.

Older DB9, DB11 and Vantage cars

Older cars have bigger, older campaigns. 14V010000 covers 5,001 DB9, Vantage, DBS, Rapide and Virage cars from 2008 to 2014 whose accelerator pedal arm could break. 15V846000 covers 6,076 cars from the 2010-2016 model years, where the inside door handles may not open the doors after the car is locked from outside. 17V796000 covers 3,493 cars with the 6-speed Touchtronic II, where the park pawl may not engage. On the DB11, 18V065000 covers 1,027 2017-2018 coupes where the driver air bag could deploy unexpectedly. Most of these should be closed by now. Still, a car that changed hands a few times can slip through, so check anyway.

Recall status vs vehicle history

A clean recall result does not tell you whether the car was crashed, flooded or rebuilt. CARFAX says its reports pull title, accident, odometer and service records, and on a car like this, gaps in dealer service are worth a phone call. Read our notes on an open recall on CARFAX too, since the report and NHTSA can update on different days. Through us, a CARFAX report runs about $5.50 as a guest or $4.50 as a member, and a CARFAX plus AutoCheck bundle about $6.75, against roughly $39.99 to $44.99 retail; confirm at checkout. We are a licensed reseller, not affiliated with CARFAX, AutoCheck, or Experian. If a seller sends a cropped report and balks when you ask for the VIN, honestly, walk.
