Refund Policy

Reports are digital goods delivered instantly, so we handle problems with a simple promise: if a report you paid for doesn't come through correctly, we make it right — first by fixing it, then by returning value if we can't.
When you're covered
- The report failed to generate or never arrived. Our system retries automatically; if it still can't deliver, contact us and we'll re-run it at no cost or return the credit/payment.
- The report is broken or unreadable (blank pages, corrupted content). We re-generate it free.
- You were charged twice for the same report. The duplicate charge is refunded.
What's not covered
- A successfully delivered report whose contents weren't what you hoped for (e.g., fewer records than expected, or a history you already knew). Record counts are shown before purchase.
- Reports bought for the wrong VIN that you entered. Double-check the 17-character VIN before checkout — we display the decoded vehicle before you buy.
- Used subscription daily credits (they reset each day by design).
Credit packs
Unused permanent credits don't expire. If you purchased a credit pack in error and haven't spent any of its credits, contact us within 14 days for a refund of that pack.
Subscriptions
You can cancel any time from your account — cancellation is immediate, you keep that day's remaining daily credits until midnight UTC, and you won't be billed again. We don't prorate partial billing periods, but if you were billed and genuinely didn't use the service in that period, contact us and we'll review it case by case.
How to raise a problem
- Email [email protected] from your account email within 30 days of the purchase.
- Include the VIN, the report type, and roughly when you bought it (a PayPal transaction ID speeds things up).
- We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original PayPal payment method, typically within 5 business days.
Where consumer law in your jurisdiction grants you rights beyond this policy, those rights are unaffected.
