SkyOne Federal lists new and used vehicle APRs effective as of November 5, 2026 from 5.74% for 36-48 months. Its rates page does not set a mandatory CARFAX policy, so ask what underwriting needs before you buy a report for the lender.
I read SkyOne's rates page and about materials for this November 5, 2026 guide. The page states Rates effective as of November 5, 2026 above the tables. Look, the lowest auto figures include published AutoPay and direct-deposit discounts, so treat them as floors. The page is still a useful dated reference for terms.
Match the term to the published vehicle rows
The auto table shows New & Used Vehicles at 5.74% APR for 36-48 months, 5.99% for 60 months, 6.49% for 72 months and 6.99% for 84 months. Vehicle refinance rows start lower, from 4.99% on the shortest published term. Ask which row your VIN and amount actually qualify for before comparing payments.
Separate discounts from the base rate
Disclosures say the advertised as-low-as APRs include a 0.25% AutoPay discount from a SkyOne savings or checking account and a 0.25% direct-deposit discount when ACH deposits meet the published dollar and timing tests. If AutoPay stops, the rate can rise 0.25%. Ask what your quote is with and without each factor.
Ask whether a history report is required
The rates page reviewed does not name a required CARFAX or AutoCheck product, report age or purchaser. Ask whether SkyOne orders its own history or needs title documents before funding. Our credit-union branded-title checklist helps you frame collateral questions without inventing policy. A seller PDF is not independent proof of a clean title. Match the VIN on the car, title and application.
Confirm the institution and former names
SkyOne Federal Credit Union traces to a 1949 charter among Civil Aeronautics Administration employees, later FAA First Federal Credit Union, with the SkyOne name adopted in 2010. Older FAA First branding in search results is history, not a second lender. Use the official skyone.org site before sharing an application.
Watch membership and account setup
Ask what share balance and account setup the loan expects at closing. Keep membership, approval and inspection on separate tracks. Each needs its own paperwork. Our loan-to-value explainer explains why the financed balance can outrun the car's value.
Plan the lien and payoff sequence early
If the seller still owes money, ask how payoff and title delivery work with funding. Our private-seller lien guide and lien-payoff steps organize the questions, but SkyOne must approve its own process. Request a current payoff through a verified channel.
Keep the car checks separate from approval
A loan approval does not certify the car's condition or the seller's ownership story. The NYC consumer-agency used-car guidance tells buyers to get a history report and an independent mechanic, and the federal Buyers Guide rule describes dealer disclosures rather than any credit-union CARFAX mandate. Private sales follow a different disclosure setting. Use our inspection checklist to define the mechanical work before you release funds.
Before you authorize funding
Ask SkyOne to confirm the term, which discounts apply and any history-document rule for your car. So, ask for a dated written approval tied to the actual VIN, amount financed and term. Keep the rate quote, collateral answer, purchase agreement and any payoff instructions together. The CFPB auto-loan resources explain how to shop and compare offers; they do not set this lender's underwriting policy.
We are a licensed CARFAX and AutoCheck reseller, not affiliated with CARFAX, AutoCheck or Experian. Guest reports have been about $5.50, member reports about $4.50 and a two-report bundle about $6.75; confirm the price at checkout because it can change. A report can miss unreported work, so keep the inspection appointment even when the history looks quiet.
Write down the model year, mileage, amount financed and which discounts you can actually keep open for the life of the loan. Refinance rows are not purchase rows. If a dealer offers to shop SkyOne for you, still open skyone.org yourself and confirm membership eligibility before you share ID documents.
