Langley FCU posts 5.99% and 6.99% auto APRs. What its pages omit on CARFAX and branded titles.

Langley FCU Auto Loan: 5.99% APR Grid and CARFAX Gaps

Langley Federal Credit Union posts new and used auto loans from 5.99% APR on terms through 75 months, and 6.99% APR on 76-84 month terms, with rate data marked effective Sept. 30, 2026 in the page script I pulled. The public auto loan pages do not publish a CARFAX requirement or a branded-title policy. Ask those questions before you finance a used car in Hampton Roads or anywhere Langley lends.

I read Langley's auto loans page on Nov. 5, 2026. I did not apply. APRs move; treat the grid below as a freshness snapshot anchored to the Sept. 30, 2026 effective date in Langley's own rate data object.

Rates posted on the auto page

New car loans and used car loans (2024 and older) share the same "as low as" grid in the HTML I captured:

  • 12-36 months: 5.99% APR
  • 37-60 months: 5.99% APR
  • 61-66 months: 5.99% APR
  • 67-75 months: 5.99% APR
  • 76-84 months: 6.99% APR

Copy on the page also says full financing is available on model years 2024 and newer with rates as low as 5.99% APR and terms up to 84 months, and that older, higher-mileage vehicles can still fund at rates as low as 5.99% APR with terms up to 84 months subject to credit. Disclosures stress that your rate may differ and that terms are subject to change without notice.

Langley's site also notes a Forbes Best-In-State Credit Unions in Virginia for 2026 mention on the banner. I could not load the Forbes advisor page with a clean 200 response from this research host on Nov. 5, 2026, so treat that banner as Langley's own claim until you verify it elsewhere.

What Langley does not post

I found no public CARFAX mandate, AutoCheck alternative, max LTV table or salvage-title rule on the auto loans page. Underwriting can still reject branded titles or private-party deals even when the APR banner looks open. Ask in writing. Our credit union salvage title loan guide lists the usual follow-ups. If the loan officer pushes GAP, read GAP insurance on a used car first.

Prepare before you apply

Confirm the title on NMVTIS, buy your own report, and walk through how to read a CARFAX report. For consumer-side rate context outside Langley, use the CFPB auto loan tools and Credit Karma average auto rate overview.

Reseller pricing caveat

We're a licensed CARFAX and AutoCheck reseller, not affiliated with CARFAX, AutoCheck, Experian or Langley FCU. As of early November 2026, guest reports are about $5.50, member reports about $4.50, and the bundle about $6.75, versus retail near $39.99 to $44.99. Confirm at checkout.

Title brands, odometer gaps and salvage rebuilds show up on a report you buy yourself, even when the paint looks straight. Cross-check the VIN plate, door sticker and dashboard stamp so the car matches the paper before you wire a deposit.

Ask the lender how branded titles, private-party purchases and older model years change the rate, the max LTV and any required GAP or warranty add-ons before you sign the note.
