A used Cadillac Lyriq is a 2023-on Tennessee-built Ultium EV crossover sold first as a limited Debut run, then in broader Luxury and Sport trims with rear- or all-wheel drive. For a quiet luxury EV SUV we would shop a 2024 RWD or AWD Luxury/Sport only after instrument-cluster, battery-connection and ABS campaigns are closed by VIN. On any 2023 Debut truck, proving the early software remedies are done is the first job, ahead of Super Cruise subscription talk.
We checked Lyriq recall filings, review notes and vPIC decodes on October 14, 2026. A 2023 Luxury RWD pattern starting 1GYKPMRK decoded to Spring Hill, Tennessee as a Lyriq BEV with Luxury 1SE trim, and an AWD Super Cruise pattern 1GYKPPRL came back as Luxury 1SD Super Cruise with dual-motor AWD. Decode yours with our Cadillac VIN decoder, clear campaigns with our NHTSA recall check by VIN walkthrough, and if you want a different used EV crossover benchmark read the used Tesla Model Y buying guide.
2023 Debut vs 2024 volume years
Car and Driver describes the Lyriq as a wafting Ultium crossover with a curved digital display and up to roughly 308 miles of EPA range on single-motor cars, with highway loop results around 270 miles RWD and 220 miles AWD in their testing. MotorTrend and Consumer Reports cover the same SUV as GM's first Ultium luxury crossover. IIHS rates the 2024 Lyriq as a four-door SUV in its crash program, so check the current rating page for the year you are buying. Super Cruise is hardware-plus-subscription on many 2023-2024 trims; do not pay for it unless the truck still has working hardware and an active plan you can verify on a highway map segment.
Cluster, battery and ABS recalls
22V-710 covers 2023 Lyriq vehicles whose driver video display control module software can blank the instrument panel. 23V-367 covers certain high-voltage battery pack connections on 2023 Lyriq (and Hummer EV) vehicles. Body control module calibration issues sit under 23V-682 on 2023 cars. Rear seat belt anchorage brackets are covered by 23V-785 on 2023-2024 trucks. AWD-specific ABS unexpected activation shows up under 24V-589 on 2023-2024 AWD Lyriqs, and stabilizer bar bracket bolts are in 25V-232 for 2023-2025 cars. Ask for the Cadillac or GM recall printout on that VIN, not a verbal "software was flashed."
Title, Super Cruise and price
A recall screen will not show a flood title, an odometer rollback or a prior loaner life. Look, a seller PDF with no VIN on the page is not a history report. Many early Lyriqs rotated through demos after the late-2023 stop-sale drama, so read the ownership lines. CARFAX says its reports draw on title, odometer, ownership and accident records. As of mid October 2026, a CARFAX report through us runs about $5.50 as a guest or about $4.50 as a member, and a CARFAX plus AutoCheck bundle is about $6.75, versus roughly $39.99 to $44.99 at retail. Confirm at checkout. We are a licensed CARFAX and AutoCheck reseller, not affiliated with CARFAX, AutoCheck, or Experian.
What we would actually bid on
Honestly, a 2024 Luxury or Sport with closed cluster and ABS campaigns, one or two private owners and a clean title is the easy path. A 2023 Debut can still be fine after GM closes the early software and battery-connection work, but only if the dealer paperwork names this VIN. Skip any crossover whose seller wants you to "just live with a blank cluster" without showing 22V-710 is closed. We've seen listings that boast Super Cruise and stay silent on open campaigns. Confirm the Super Cruise subscription status and remaining Ultium battery warranty dates in writing before you talk wire money, and recheck ADAS cameras after any windshield replacement.
