To check Chrysler recalls on a used Pacifica or 300, run the 17-digit VIN on NHTSA's recall lookup and ask a Chrysler dealer for the FCA campaign printout. Incomplete campaigns are free repairs. In mid October 2026, Pacifica plug-in shoppers should treat the high-voltage battery fire campaign as a hard stop until the dealer shows the software and battery inspection closed, while gas Pacificas still need the side curtain expansion answered by VIN.
Chrysler recalls are filed by FCA US (Stellantis), and campaign codes look like 52D, 06D, or 19B. When we pulled Chrysler filings on October 13, 2026, several Pacifica campaigns were shared with Voyager, and the 300 inflator campaign sat in the same PDF as the Dodge Charger. That is normal. A Dodge Durango recall page is not a substitute for a Chrysler minivan or sedan VIN.
How to run a Chrysler VIN
Match the windshield and door VINs. Our NHTSA recall check by VIN guide explains each status line. Decode the vehicle with our Chrysler VIN decoder so you can tell a gas Pacifica from a Pacifica PHEV, a Voyager twin, or a last-gen 300 before you argue about which PDF applies. Chrysler also hosts a brand recall page at chrysler.com recalls, but still demand a dealer printout with the FCA campaign code and a date.
Pacifica PHEV: park-outside battery campaign
NHTSA recall 26V-362 covers about 17,277 2020-2022 Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid vehicles. The battery pack may cause a vehicle fire even when the van is parked with the ignition off. Owners were advised not to charge the vehicle and to park outside away from structures until repairs are done. Dealers update high-voltage battery pack control module software and inspect or replace the battery pack as needed. Owner letters began June 23, 2026. FCA code is 52D. We have seen shoppers walk away from otherwise clean PHEV vans when this line is still open, and that is the correct call until the printout says completed.
Pacifica gas: side curtains, brake sensor and camera
26V-189 covers about 293,264 2022-2026 Pacifica and Voyager vehicles whose right and left side curtain air bags may have insufficient pressure retention. It expands and replaces earlier recalls 25V-302 and 25V-573, so vans already repaired under those older numbers still need the new remedy. Dealers replace the side curtain air bags as needed. Letters went out May 14, 2026.
26V-561 covers about 2,017 2025-2026 Pacifica and Voyager vehicles (including certain Voyager PHEVs) whose brake pedal position sensor capacitor may crack and cause a loss of electronic stability control. Dealers inspect and replace the sensor. Letters went out September 17, 2026. A tiny population still matters if your VIN is inside it. On a handful of 2024-2025 Pacificas, 25V-471 covered incorrect radios that blanked the rearview image; FCA says those units have already been repaired, but still confirm on the VIN.
Chrysler 300: side curtain inflators
If the shortlist includes a late 300 sedan, read 24V-198. It covers about 284,982 2018-2021 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 vehicles whose side curtain air bag inflators may rupture from a manufacturing defect. Dealers replace both side curtain air bags. Owner letters began February 20, 2025. FCA code is 19B. A seller who says the Takata work was done years ago is talking about a different campaign family. IIHS rates the 2024 Pacifica if you want crash-test context after the recall list is clear.
History report and price
Recalls will not catch a flood-washed minivan or a rolled-back odometer. CARFAX says its reports cover title brands, odometer readings, ownership, and reported accidents, and our guide on how to read a CARFAX report helps sort minor from structural hits. As of mid October 2026, CARFAX through us is about $5.50 guest or $4.50 member, bundle about $6.75, versus roughly $39.99 to $44.99 retail. Confirm at checkout. We are a licensed CARFAX and AutoCheck reseller, not affiliated with CARFAX, AutoCheck, or Experian. A Pacifica PHEV still plugged into a garage wall with an open 26V-362 line is not a "waiting on parts" story you should ignore overnight.
